Professor Madan Rao, professor at the Simons Centre for the Study of Living Machines at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bengaluru, has been awarded the Sir M. Visvesvaraya Senior Scientist Award by the Government of Karnataka, for his exceptional contributions to the field of science and technology in the state.
