Welcome to Gender In/Of Science: Feminist Conversations conceptualised by Prof. Gita Chadha, Sociologist and Obaid Siddiqi Chair 2023-24 at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bengaluru, India. These conversations are curated within an interdisciplinary framework of Feminist Science Studies that explore a range of issues beginning with the underrepresentation of women and their gendered experiences in science to the larger patriarchal nature and culture of science. In these conversations, we document the experiences and reflections of 6 faculty at NCBS, creating a consolidated living archive of women's voices in Biology in India. We hope these conversations will set the ground for many more to come, from different domains of science, and even technology.
