Guwahati, August 26: A group of butterfly and moth researchers has described a new moth species and rediscovered another that had not been seen in India for more than a century from Tale wildlife sanctuary in Arunachal Pradesh.

Over the past few years, a team of researchers, Sanjay Sondhi and Yash Sondhi from Titli Trust, Dehradun, Krushnamegh Kunte and Tarun Karmakar, National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bengaluru, and Pratibha Riswadkar from Pune, have been conducting butterfly and moth research at Tale wildlife sanctuary, Lower Subansiri District, Arunachal Pradesh.
