Dr Krishnan Iyer (graduate student of Prof Madan Rao), and Dr Sriram Narayanan (Graduate student of Prof Vatsala Thirumalai) of the National Centre of Biological Sciences, Bengaluru, have been awarded the Zita Memorial Award for Best PhD Thesis in Biology by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai.
Dr Vivek Hari Sundar (graduate student of Dr P V Shivaprasad) received an honourable mention.
