A few notes about Kullu, from Nandini Velho: * On every field trip if we ever wanted to know whether the pile of twigs right up in the canopy was a nest of some species, or if we needed a herbarium sample, while all of us speculated with Ajith on the ground, Kullu was screaming answers from the canopy. * On our first trip to the Trans-himalaya in Sikkim most of us suffered during those two days cause we naively sought Kullu's guidance about what protective gear we should take. Kullu convinced many of us that one thin sweater was enough in the month of January, he only forgot to include 'for him.' * While most of us took the boring stairs to the boys' hostel on the first floor, Kullu always preferred climbing the drain pipe!
