On Sunday, Jan 20 I joined a couple of friends from inStem and NCBS to play as Team NCBS in the football tournament of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce at the SPT sports academy. Mr. Loeffler from the German Consulate had told me about the tournament. NCBS supplied the vehicle to get there.

Besides the teams from engineering companies like Bosch, Mercedes Benz and Lufthansa technical maintenance, we were the only team from academia. Maybe that's why we were just called Scientists.

The matches were fun and we performed quite OK. We had an even card, with our two losing games (1:3 vs Bosch, 0:1 vs Prion) balanced by the wins (3:1 vs Swiss Consulate, 3:0 vs Indo-German Training Centre). At the end we were third out of five teams in our group and had earned our German sausages and beer.
