It is very sad to know that Veronica is no more. As Vijay has aptly described, V has been an active and prominent figure through the all stages of development of the TIFR and the associated NCBS and was a pillar of inspiration to all of us who have been connected with these labs. Always interested in motivating young students to develop keen interest in research, V took special interest in organizing TIFR seminar at M. S. University in 2005.
